The Rights for the LGBT community will continue to go on. I hope for those who did not understand something they did not know have some type pf insight. Everyone believes what they want to believe that is not wrong. But because I see the sky as red and you see the sky as green are we going to hate each other? We are all one and must remember that, the evil in this world must come to an end. I believe we can all agree to disagree and just think about love. Let’s not let more tragedies continue to happen to innocent people who are humans just like we are. We should be able to love a tree even and not be judged. One person speaking out can make a difference in the world. If you want to take part of an even, you will find links on this page to help you. Explore new things meet new people. You do not have to be gay to be in the LGBT community, everyone could be a support for someone. We live in a country who fought for rights to treat everyone equally! No one is better than anyone and no one is wrong for loving someone even if it is the same gender!

On June 12,2016 Orlando FL went through a tragic even that hurt the hearts of everyone in this world. On a night people went to Pulse night club to enjoy their time went under an attack by the shooter named Omar Mateen. Around 2 am when the club was coming to closing time the shooter opened fired inside pulse night club killing 49 lives. For hours the shooter was inside the night club just shooting everything and anyone on site. The people who manage to escape live but with the worse memories anyone could ever have. During such a scary time everyone in the night club came together and helped one another the best they could whether it was to pick someone up and get to safety, or lending someone who was injured to borrow their phone to call their loved one. Times like these we all wish batman and superman were real people. The shooter Omar Mateen targeted this night club because it was a gay night club and went on to killing and leaving a son and wife behind. This was the worst shooting in the United States history. People across eh world came together to help Orlando. During an interview a survivor stated he did not understand why would anyone do this to gay people they have so much love to give yet receive so much hate.

I came across a webisite by Diane Anderson-Minshall " 12 Crimes That Change the LGBT World" that listed the most hateful crimes that have happened. One of the crimes that stood out to me was the story of Paul Broussard a twenty-seven years old gay man who was beaten to death on July 4,1991. July 4th to us I known as a day to celebrate our great country. How was have such an amazing story and history to tell on how we got to the place we are known and our independence. Sadly, others took this day to brutal beat a to death because of who he chooses to be. While enjoying a night out at a gay bar him and two of his friends were attacked with everything and anything you can think of. There were knifes, wood, even steel toed boots hitting these men. Paul death led to the biggest LGBT civil action. His death did not go un noticed because a decade later a hate crime protection was passed in the state of Texas. All the men that participated in his murder were convicted to prison time. It sadness my heart reading this and just thinking that any day can be anyone’s last day but to know that this men last day was because he picked to love the same sex is just horrible. There was a Montrose Remembrance Garden that was made in on of Broussard death and is located near the area that he was murdered in.

In the article I read by Stephanie Wang "Same-sex marriage: Why people really oppose it?", her title was the very first thing that caught my attention because it is a question I am sure we all have. The question was Same-sex marriage: Why people really oppose it? Some responses from the public were that God did not intend them to be this way, it is beastly, they are sinners, all types of crazy things were said. It kind of takes you back for a second because if you actually think about it these are humans that we are talking about. Humans that walk the same as we all do breathe the same air we all breath, have a heart just like we all do and plenty more. Imagine living an everyday life getting different stares and whispers as you walk by people with the person you love. The person can be a dog or even the same sex gender, WHO CARES. I hope when reading this article, it shows you a different view of things to try and understand peoples’ way of thinking. It is okay to believe different things, that is perfectly normal! We still must all love each other I believe because We Are All One!
